I just feel meh about this book. It took me forever to get through because I wasn't engaged with the story at all. That said, I really apreciate a few of the things that Crowley did with the story. However, as I was working it out in my brain I realized what really put me off. If there are some authors who can make the everyday seem magic, say Charles DeLint, the Crowly makes the magic seem everyday and ordinary. It's not a bad thing exactly, but not really my thing.
