The Reading Jackalope

I adored this book. Just adored it. It is whimsical and sad and silly and exactly what a book about fairyland should be. I was strongly reminded of the Oz books while reading it, because it made me remember being 9 or 10 or 8 and devoring every Oz book I could find and loving that sense of wonder these novels have brought into my life.

The story is a combination of the Persephone myth, Narnia, Oz and a good many other stories while remaining completely it's own story. I absolutely recomend this book.
